Collection: Jean-François Ginglinger
Pfaffenheim, Alsace, France
Jean-François Ginglinger's wines reflect both his cheerful personality and the rich Alsace terroir, showcasing the depth and character of his historic vineyards. Managing 6.5 hectares in Pfaffenheim, including grand cru sites Steinert and Zinnkoepfle, he continues the family tradition of biodynamic farming started by his father in the 1990s. Although he no longer pays for certification, he maintains these practices, including hand-harvesting and using a horse for plowing. His wines, often drier than the appellation standard and highly mineral and aromatic, are crafted with intuition and without added sulfur, resulting in dynamic, exciting, and highly digestible expressions of Alsace's historic varietals.
