Gewurztraminer Steiner Maceration 2020

Gewurztraminer from the Grand Cru Steinert vineyard. Vines on a mix of limestone and calcareous sandstone. 3 weeks of maceration followed by élevage for 12 months in smaller, old barrels. As in previous years, the macerated Gewurztraminer from Jean-François’ prized vines, hits us with big intensity, concentration and a unique character thats highly specific to this wine. Overripe fruits like kumquats and persimmons, with a big hit of floral, herbal, and vegetal aromas. All together the various components come together to offer a musky aroma, like a kind of perfume, which is characteristic of this wine across many years.
