Collection: Alessandra Divella

Gussago, Franciacorta, Italy

At just 31, Alessandra Divella is redefining Franciacorta’s winemaking landscape, farming 2 hectares of organic Chardonnay and Pinot Noir in Gussago, the region’s northwestern Jurassic zone. As a first-generation winemaker, she stands out in a region dominated by large-scale production, crafting wines that rival some of the very best grower Champagnes in quality. A local pioneer of minimal intervention, she fosters biodiversity among her vines, hand-harvesting grapes and pressing them gently for extended time in her small basket press. Her wines, aged on lees in small barrels or cement for up to five years, follow the méthode champenoise but with zero sulfur and zero dosage, resulting in complex wines with cutting mineral acidity, and textural depth. As she expands her vine holdings within Gussago’s sub-appellations, Alessandra is just getting started, creating some of the most exhilarating bubbles we've encountered to date.
