Veselý Red 2019

Red varieties from the Veselý vineyard. Blaufränkisch, St. Laurent, Blauer Portugieser, Cabernet Moravia, Zweigelt, and André. Aged for two years in large Stockinger Barrels (Foudres). The old vines of the Veselý vineyard produce very low yields and concentrated fruit perfect for extended elévage winemaking. 14 days of maceration before pressing into used Stockinger oak barrels. Aging for 24 months with periodic batonnage. A refined red with a rustic depth. Graphite with plummy, earthy fruit. Tannins are certainly present, and with the additional aging in barrel, the fruit has become well integrated into the wine.
